You have one night in Venice to spend, a camera with you but no tripod. So what do you do? Well, I chose to take a lot of photos from bridge railings or the ground like here. Not only does that give me opportunity to take HDR shots at night, it also gives me this perfect vantage point. And Venice is just great for that as the water is so calm in the night that it gives you perfect reflections.
When you hear Verona you might think of Romeo and Juliet. Or the arena comes to your mind. Well, of the Verona Arena I can serve you with a photo. Luckily we went early in the morning to Verona because when we left the Arena, the queue for tickets seemed endless. The arena itself is quite impressive. Not as much as the Colosseum in Rome, but still. Especially when you consider that it still is used for theaters.
As you probably know, cars are a very rare thing in Venice. So instead you take these luxury gondolas to get from A to B. Just kidding, it’s obviously used more as a tourist rip off, but anyways, without them Venice wouldn’t be the way we know it.
Happy 2013 my dear followers! I want to start the new year with a photo from Italy, as that has been my best vacation in the last time. And who knows, maybe in 2013 I’ll find some time to go back there?
Here you see the Piazza delle Erbe in Verona, the tower is called Torre dei Lamberti (construction started in 1172). During the time of the Roman Empire this square was the town’s forum.
The Church of Peace in Swidnica is amazingly beautiful. And yet it is hard to caputre it’s beauty as you can’t use a tripod. So i tried my best to keep the cam steady and take pictures from the ground. Unfortunately, the +2EV photo was even more blurry than what came out now, so that’s as good as it got. Still it’s a bit blurry but too beautiful not to show it. Click for more information!
