The Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom) is part of the UNESCO World Heritage and is the biggest Gothic cathedral in the world. The building process started in 1248 and was completed in 1880. No landmark in Germany is visited as often as the Cologne Cathedral, I guess that’s also due to the fact that the Cologne Central Station is located right next to it, so that you can visit the Cathedral even when you only have an hour to spend in Cologne. On the photo you see the cross on the eastern side of the Cologne Cathedral.
