It’s been a long time since I last posted a landscape photo from Mallorca. Well, don’t you dream about a vacation there just about now? I don’t know how it is in your place, but here in Berlin it’s so disgusting grey and cold weather that I would love to just hop on a plane and fly to some Island.
Sometimes I wonder how it would be to live in one of those houses close to the lake. I mean I am happy with our place, we just have to walk 5 minutes and we’re on the lake as well. But waking up in the morning and seeing the water? Must be awesome.
You have one night in Venice to spend, a camera with you but no tripod. So what do you do? Well, I chose to take a lot of photos from bridge railings or the ground like here. Not only does that give me opportunity to take HDR shots at night, it also gives me this perfect vantage point. And Venice is just great for that as the water is so calm in the night that it gives you perfect reflections.
Valeggio sul Mincio, another place which I probably never would have seen, if it wasn’t for Couchsurfing. Our amazing host offered to drive us around Lago di Garda for a bit and this was the town he had in mind to go to. With only 15 thousand inhabitants, it sure isn’t a big touristic place to go to. And yet it was very interesting to see that place, an old place which origins go back 2400 years.
Getting up at five in the morning when you’re travelling is hard, but has its advantages. Often you find locations where you only can get a good sunrise instead of a sunset. And, usually, you find a pretty quite environment. This photo I could take when we took a train early in the morning from Desenzano del Garda to Verona. We had to wait an hour for the train, so we tried to make the best of it.
