After visiting the Cathedral we continued to walk to the town center, but the huge crowds of people made us rethink and take smaller streets. And that’s how we found this strange building. The German Chancellor’s Office

The German Chancellor’s OfficeWell, that is the room where the German Chancellors where working from 1964 until 1999. Kind of small, don’t you think? I mean just think about where the American President is working and imagine him sitting in such small office. But on the other hand, this Residence for our Chancellor was much cheaper. In total it was costing only 1 Million Euro as there was a tight budget. I guess Merkel has a better office today.

Main room of the Chancellor’s Bungalow in BonnSo I’ve finally been in Bonn, the town that used to be the West German capital. Even though Berlin is the capital now there are still a lot of ministries located in Bonn. Also, when you’re lucky enough, you can visit the Chancellor’s Bungalow. After we signed up for the tour we got a paper which said that it’s not allowed to take any photos of the interior. Read more!
