Cross on the Eastern Side of the Cologne Cathedral

Cross on the Eastern Side of the Cologne Cathedral

The Cologne Cathedral (Kölner Dom) is part of the UNESCO World Heritage and is the biggest Gothic cathedral in the world. The building process started in 1248 and was completed in 1880. No landmark in Germany is visited as often as the Cologne Cathedral, I guess that’s also due to the fact that the Cologne Central Station is located right next to it, so that you can visit the Cathedral even when you only have an hour to spend in Cologne. On the photo you see the cross on the eastern side of the Cologne Cathedral. More information on the photo!

Sunset in Cologne

Sunset in CologneOn a short trip to Bonn in the west of Germany we took a one day trip to Cologne. The days before were rather grey and not good to take any shots and I already got a bit frustrated. But when we took the train to Cologne, the sky started to clear up. I guess this sunset was my compensation for the weather before. More information on the photo!
