Fireworks over the Rudolfinum in Prague

It was quite a bit of luck involved to get this picture of the fireworks over the Rudolfinum in Prague (Praha). We just went down to the bank of Vltava to take a picture of the Charles Bridge. Once I was done with that, my girlfriend thought that it would also be a nice position to capture the Rudolfinum. So she used my camera, brought it in the right position and started taking the usual three photos for the HDR. The camera managed to take two of the pictures and then the fireworks started and we’ve had the camera in the perfect position.
To process the picture I took two shots without fireworks and one with the fireworks in it and put them together in Photoshop.

Sunset in Venice

In Venice (Venezia) we’ve spent two days and one night on our trip through Italy as we didn’t find any couch which we could have surfed there and the hotels are, let me put it like that, somehow pricy. As we had to look on our budget, we stayed in a small hotel near to the University of Venice.
Turned out that wasn’t the worst thing that could happen to us. Away from all the tourists we actually met people who are living in Venice. The restaurants were affordable and we even got a table directly at the channel. Basically, everything bad which we were told about Venice before we went there didn’t happen.
This picture I took as we came back from the touristic center of Venice in the evening and it’s taken close to the hotel where we stayed. Lucky it was on a main channel that went west so we could see the sunset.

Red Door in Swidnica

When my girlfriend and me went to a small polish town called Świdnica, we were only planning to visit the Church of Peace, part of the UNESCO World Heritage. I must have been deep in thoughts as we were already close. Luckily my girlfriend wasn’t and she had a better eye for what’s around us, so she captured that shot. Now, when I see it, I love the colors and how they go with eachother. Anyways, all credits for that shot are going to my girlfriend as I only did the processing part.
