A photo from the beginning of my HDR adventure. As you can guess, I ran a little bit out of time over the holidays, so I have to go a bit through my archive and show photos from the time when I was making my first little HDR steps. It’s nice to look back on them and see how much I learned in the last months. Wonder what new stuff I’ll learn in 2013.
This restaurant is right around the corner. Even though I don’t really eat fish, it always looks good from the outside, but I never got a nice shot of it. And then it snowed last week, a perfect opportunity I thought. It’s been a Sunday evening; the place was empty without customers possibly due to the heavy snowfall. Luckily they didn’t turn off the lights too early.
The Chinese House, a garden pavilion, is to find in Sanssouci Park in Potsdam. It was built in 18th century. I guess it’s the one Chinese piece which has to be found in every royal garden from that time. And indeed it looks quite impressive with all the gold, a sign of the rich Prussia of that time.
We decided to cross the river to take shots from the sunset and the skyline of cologne. But the bridge also offered some interesting views. This one is taken just before sunset when the sky just started to get more colorful.
A photo my girlfriend did and I think it’s great. I like how the fence is in line with the horizon and the soft colors of the sunset. It’s taken on the southern end of the Greenwich Promenade in Tegel, Berlin. A place which is only two minutes away from our home.
