This restaurant is right around the corner. Even though I don’t really eat fish, it always looks good from the outside, but I never got a nice shot of it. And then it snowed last week, a perfect opportunity I thought. It’s been a Sunday evening; the place was empty without customers possibly due to the heavy snowfall. Luckily they didn’t turn off the lights too early.
Chotkovy sady is my favourite place for an overview over the city of Prague. You wonder why? Well, first of all you have this amazing view over the city. And second, even more important, most of the time you can enjoy this view without having any people around. Even on New Years Eve, there was only one family standing there apart from us, enjoying the fireworks over the Old Town.
I came along that place so many times, almost every time when I was in Wrocław, me and my girlfriend were passing that bar. Always I thought, in that light that would be a great photo, but never I carried my cam with me. But then the day, or better the evening, came, where I could take a shot. Without a tripod it took a couple of tries to get a good one, but with that one I’m satisfied. Now I just wonder if that place is ever open, cause every time I’ve been passing it, the bar was closed.
Q205 stands for Quarter 205 which is located in the center of Berlin at Friedrichstraße. Coca Cola has its German head office in there and in general it’s one of the wealthier regions in Berlin. I don’t want to know how much a drink in that small bar is costing. Generally it is located right next to Gendarmenmarkt of which I already showed you a couple of pictures.
The French Cathedral (Französischer Dom) is one of the three buildings on the Gendarmenmarkt and across from the German Cathedral (Deutscher Dom). It was built by the Huguenot community early in 18th century and is the oldest building on the square. The other cathedral was destroyed during World War II and rebuilt after the German reunification as the square is located in the eastern part of Berlin.
