Inside of the Royal Palace of Milan

Inside of the Royal Palace of Milan

Inside of the Royal Palace of Milan (Palazzo Reale di Milano), is not too much which you can see. Actually, I had to kind of sneak in there to take that shot. You find the Royal Palace of Milan right next to the Cathedral in the center of the city. It took big damage in the second World War and just started to be restored in 2000. Still, I wish I already had my tripod back then.

Lustschloss on Peacock Island

Lustschloss on Peacock IslandThe Lustschloss (or: Pleasure Palace) on Peacock Island was built in the late 18th century and is part of the UNESCO World Heritage today. Everything on the Island was built for Friedrich Wilhelm II./III., and it was used as a summer residence. Today you can easily visit the Island, which is a great thing to do when you’re in Berlin. There is a small ferry setting over each half an hour and on the Island there are not too many people. So you can enjoy the nature, find wild running peacocks and wonder about the architecture.
