University of Wroclaw by Night

Did you ever try to take a night shot without a tripod? First thing you try is to put the camera on something stable to keep it steady. In this case, unfortunately there was nothing stable around. So best thing I could do is to put the cam on the ground and keep it steady with my hand. Obviously that took me a lot of shots to be somewhat pleased with the result. Luckily things changed now that I have my tripod.

On the photo you see the main building of the University of Wroclaw (Uniwersytet Wrocławski). Established in 1702 the University of Wroclaw is one of the oldest higher education institutions in Central Europe.

Valeggio sul Mincio

Valeggio sul Mincio (HDR)Valeggio sul Mincio, another place which I probably never would have seen, if it wasn’t for Couchsurfing. Our amazing host offered to drive us around Lago di Garda for a bit and this was the town he had in mind to go to. With only 15 thousand inhabitants, it sure isn’t a big touristic place to go to. And yet it was very interesting to see that place, an old place which origins go back 2400 years.

Sunset behind the Concert Hall – Frankfurt (Oder)

Sunset behind the Concert Hall - Frankfurt (Oder)The sun going down behind the Concert Hall of Frankfurt (Oder). A building that I’ve never visited but yet seen almost every day when I lived in Słubice and studied in Frankfurt. As you can guess, the shot is taken from the bridge which is connecting Germany and Poland, a bridge I had to use quite often.
