Włodkowica 21 is a bar in the Jewish area of Wroclaw. The interior is quite dark and as it was summer when we’ve been there, almost everybody was sitting outside so we had a big room in the back of the bar for ourself. It’s been a good time there and places like that create much stronger memory than any of those new and fancy bars which look the same all over the world.

Hacienda Tequila Wroclaw

I came along that place so many times, almost every time when I was in Wrocław, me and my girlfriend were passing that bar. Always I thought, in that light that would be a great photo, but never I carried my cam with me. But then the day, or better the evening, came, where I could take a shot. Without a tripod it took a couple of tries to get a good one, but with that one I’m satisfied. Now I just wonder if that place is ever open, cause every time I’ve been passing it, the bar was closed.

Decoration in a Bar in Wrocław

This shot was taken in a bar in the Jewish area of Wrocław. The interior was quite dark and you could still feel that it is not that long ago since they forbid smoking in public places in Poland. Apart from that the bar is really nice, the absolute opposite of those brand new, modern lounge bars. That place hat style and is so much cozier than any of those new bars.

A Bar in a Prison – Wroclaw

A while ago I was out shooting some pictures to support articles of my girlfriend as she was writing for an online newspaper about things to visit in Wroclaw (Wrocław). This picture is taken in a bar in a very unique place: An old prison.

Outside is a sign which reminds you of the former use of the building. It is (or has been) a nice bar full of local students. And not too many tourists, even though it’s located fairly close to the center. However, last time I’ve been there, the bar wasn’t open. I don’t know if it’s closed for good or just temporary, but next time I’m in Wroclaw I will check it out again.
